Jared P. Foy

Associate

Jared Foy graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration-Finance from The Master’s University. Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Foy worked for 15 years as an employee benefits and regulatory compliance consultant for a large national insurance brokerage and consulting firm. During his consulting career, he designed and oversaw the administration of health & welfare, retirement, and IRS-qualified retiree fringe benefit programs. In addition to his employee benefits practice, he spearheaded the firm’s ERISA compliance and the Affordable Care Act consulting work. Mr. Foy also spent three years working for the firm’s corporate Legal Department, where he served as VP of Compliance and created and led the firm’s insurance regulatory compliance and state licensing division.

Mr. Foy received his Juris Doctor degree in 2023 from Loyola Marymount University-Loyola Law School, where he earned First Honors in Ethical Lawyering. Mr. Foy transitioned into full-time legal practice when he joined the firm in 2024. His practice consists of advising Taft-Hartley multiemployer trusts and Labor Unions on ERISA and plan administration, supporting the firm’s labor representation practice, and conducting ERISA and employee benefits education training for the firm’s labor clients.

Mr. Foy is admitted to practice in California as well as the U.S. District Court-Central District of California. He is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association, the International Foundation of Employee Benefit Plans, and the AFL-CIO’s Union Lawyers Alliance. Mr. Foy’s interest in the labor movement was sparked by his grandfather’s experience as a lifelong member of the International Union of Operating Engineers dating back to the 1950’s. Mr. Foy is a California native and outside the office he enjoys spending his time exploring the California coast with his wife and daughter and avidly following sports.
