Ms. Halford graduated cum laude from UCLA in 1972. She received her Juris Doctorate degree, cum laude, from Loyola University of Los Angeles School of Law in 1975 and was subsequently admitted to practice in California. Ms. Halford has specialized in the representation of employee benefit plans for more than thirty-three (33) years.
She joined the firm in 1997, and currently heads the firm’s trust fund practice. She serves as both Plan Counsel and/or Collection Counsel for a number of Taft-Hartley health and welfare and pension plans in the entertainment, transportation, food and beverage, hospitality and construction industries.
Ms. Halford has handled wide range of complex ERISA litigation including matters involving breach of fiduciary duty. She represents plans in matters involving third-party liability, contribution collections, bankruptcy, and is primarily responsible for representation of the firm’s clients in matters relating to ERISA compliance, and Department of Labor and Internal Revenue investigations. Ms. Halford is an active member of the Labor and Employment Sections of the ABA, California and Los Angeles County Bar Associations, and the AFL-CIO’s Lawyers Coordinating Committee.
